八○○
《西遊記》第三回"天河定底神珍鐵"一名"如意金箍棒"。按《警世通言》卷四十《旌陽宮鐵樹鎮妖》。
第六回悟空與二郎神變化鬥法,可比勘蘇格蘭民歌 "The Twa Magicians" (The Faber Book of Popular Verse, pp. 228-230)[1];又 British Folk Tales & Legends: A Sampler, by Katharine M. Briggs, pp. 35-6: "The King of the Black Art"。
〇《水滸傳》第四十五裴闍黎與潘巧雲奸宿,只"怕五更睡著了,不知省覺,却那裏尋得一個報曉的頭陀"來,因賂胡道人"把木魚大敲報曉,高聲念佛,我便好出來。"按 A. Preminger, Encyclopedia of Poetry & Poetics, Art. "Taglied", p. 841: "The figure of the watchman who warns the lovers of the coming of dawn, when they must part... p. 8... a watchman who speaks, a friend of the lover whohas been standing guard"。

 《跋个山遺集》:
吾友張君公逸遵騮,與吾同患氣疾,相憐甚而相見不數數。然見必劇談,雖傷氣,無所恤也。君博究明人載籍,又具史識,蒐羅而能貫串焉。余聞言輒絕倒,改易耳目,開拓心胸,亦渾忘其傷氣矣。一日問余曰:"明末有奇女子劉淑,倘知之乎?"曰:"不知也。"曰:"劉名掛君鄉孫靜菴《明遺民錄》中,其書君先人嘗序之。"因出示此集,蓋雖六十年間一再印行,而若存若亡,去湮沒無幾爾。古來不乏才媛以詞章名世,呂溫詩所謂"自言才藝是天真,不服丈夫勝婦人"也。然集眾千人,轉戰數縣,提一旅以赴國難,而餘事為詩,情韻不匱,則劉殆絕類離倫者乎!劉序康雪菴夫人詩,自道有"伯夷、靈均之志"。公逸以意逆志,鈎玄抉隱,玩風花月露之詞,得陵谷海桑之旨。參之史,而其詩愈重矣。抑余嘗見陳際泰《已吾集》中《鄒光含詩稿序》稱鄒"兼文武之道,李易安不足比,非但一世之雌,固一世之雄";劉龻《風人詩話》記鄒於崇禎末"詣京師,言兵於通政司,未即上。"是亦兼資文武之奇女子,與劉淑並世同鄉。其詩稿倘尚流傳天壤間耶?書《个山集》後,并以此叩吾公逸云。

《湘綺樓日記》同治十年十一月朔:"古艷詩唯言眉目、脂粉、衣裝,至唐而後及胸、乳、腿、足,至宋、明乃及陰私,亦可以知世風之日下也"云云。頗得要領,而尤著明於小說。《全宋詞》卷二百九十五,《高麗史‧樂志》卷七十一《解佩令》云:"臉兒端正,心兒俊俏,眉兒長,眼兒入鬢,鼻兒隆,口兒小,舌兒香軟,耳朵兒就中紅闊,項如瓊玉,髮如雲鬢,眉如削、手如春筍,㚷兒甘甜,腰兒細,脚兒去緊,那些兒更休問。"《水滸傳》四十四回寫潘巧雲不啻踵事增華,石秀看時,"但見:黑鬒鬒鬢兒,細彎彎眉兒,光溜溜眼兒,香噴噴口兒,直隆隆鼻兒,紅乳乳腮兒,粉瑩瑩臉兒,輕嬝嬝身兒,玉纖纖手兒,一撚撚腰兒,軟膿膿肚兒,竅尖尖腳兒,花簇簇鞋兒,肉㚷㚷胸兒,白生生腿兒,更有一件窄湫湫、緊搊搊、紅鮮鮮、黑稠稠,正不知是甚麽東西。"《金瓶梅》第二回全襲之,以寫潘金蓮,而稍渲染焉("只見他黑鬒鬒賽鴉翎的鬢兒,翠彎彎的新月的眉兒,清冷冷杏子眼兒,香噴噴櫻桃口兒"等)[3]。故知《雜事秘辛》描摹及"私處墳起"、"陰溝渥丹,火齊欲吐",正屬此風氣中人語,而欲以文言陵駕白語。後來居上者,明末黃九煙《閒情雜詠》有《情竇》七律,如第五首云:"火齊吐時傾漢殿,丸泥封處異秦關",即本《秘辛》。李枝青《西雲札記》卷三謂[4]:"火齊有兩種,皆非紅色。《秘辛》作者不知'火齊'為何物,以字面'火'字,遂用為紅色。漢人斷不如是淺陋",亦得間也。竊謂吾國載籍刻畫人體乃及陰私者,昉自天竺譯經。如《瑜珈師地論》卷四十九述如來"三十二丈夫相",另述"八十隨好"中有"兩核殊妙"、"陰藏殊妙"、"兩臀殊妙",并及"勢峯";東晉譯《觀佛三昧海經‧觀相品第三》橫說豎說,更另有《觀馬王藏品第七》,尤稚誕可笑。[5]明人小說移釋典述男相之法施於女相耳。
〇[補四四四則][6]Don Quixote, Pt. II, ch. 26 [Quixote watching the puppet play:]"Upon seeing such a lot of Moors & hearing such a din, Don Quixote thought that it would be a good thing for him to aid the fugitives; &, rising to his feet, he cried out,...'Halt, lowborn rabble; cease your pursuit & persecution, or otherwise ye shall do battle with me!' With these words he drew his sword, & in one bound was beside the stage; & then with accelerated and unheard-of fury he began slashing at the Moorish puppets, knocking some of them over, beheading others, crippling this one, mangling that one" etc. (Putnam, II, p. 683). Cf. Tom Jones, Bk. XVI, ch. 5 [Partridge going with Tom & MrsMiller to see Hamelet played by Garrick:] "He the best player! Why I could act as well as he myself. I am sure if I had seen a ghost, I should have looked in the very same manner, & done just as he did" etc. ("Everyman's Lib.", II, p. 301).《虞初新志》卷八顧彩《髯樵傳》:"嘗荷薪至演劇所,觀《精忠傳》所謂秦檜者出,髯怒,飛躍上台,摔檜毆,流血幾斃。眾咸驚救。髯曰:'若為丞相,奸似此,不毆殺何待?'眾曰:'此戲也,非真檜。'髯曰:'吾亦知戲,故毆;若真,膏吾斧矣!'"褚人穫《堅瓠八集》卷四[7]:"周忠介蓼洲先生,初釋褐,選杭州司李,杭人在都者,置酒相賀,演岳武穆事。至奸相東窗設計,先生不勝憤怒。將優人捶打而去,舉坐驚愕,疑有所開罪。明日託友人問故,先生曰:'昨偶不平,打秦檜耳。'"《堅瓠補集》卷四:"《極齋雜錄》:'吳中一富翁演《精忠記》,坐客某見秦檜出,不勝憤憤。起而捶打,中其要害而死。舉坐皆驚,某從容自若。眾鳴之官,憐其義,得從末減。"陳其元《庸閒齋筆記》卷八《糊塗官》:"福建有秦某者,官莆田令。正月署中演劇,至雷峰塔許仙合鉢事,秦忽大怒,呼吏執許仙下堂笞之。優人訴曰:'某戲子,非許仙也。'秦曰:'吾原知爾戲子,若真許仙,則笞死矣!'"朱翔清《埋憂集》卷七《車夫》:"《熙朝新語》記皮匠觀優至《掃秦》一劇,不勝憤激,取皮刀直奔台上,將秦檜殺却"[8](按《熙朝新語》無此則)。【張瀾《萬花臺》有康熙五十年昝霨林《序》:"昔者一伶人演秦檜陷武穆事,忽見一皮匠握手中刀,從人隙跳躍登場,怒目裂眥,截取伶頭以去。嗟乎!彼豈不知扮秦檜者之非秦檜耶?而一激於義憤,又止知扮秦檜者之即秦檜耶[也],而何暇為伶人計乎!"[9]】【John Clare was taken by Mrs Marsh to see The Merchant of Venice performed by a traveling troupe: "... he suddenly sprang up on his seat, & began addressing the actor who performed the part of Shylock... 〇昌黎《和歸工部送僧約》:"汝既出家還擾擾,何人更得死前休。"張喬《宿齊山僧舍》:"若言不得南宗要,長在禪牀事更多。"《誠齋集》卷二十三《送德輪行者》:"袈裟未著愁多事,著了袈裟事更多。"《劍南詩稿》卷五《化成院》:"肥僧大腰腹,呀喘趨迎官。走疾不得語,坐定汗未乾。高人遺世事,跏趺穴蒲團。作此望塵態,豈如返巾冠。"《宋詩啜醨集》卷四林景熙《答山中侃上人》:"無髮得高閒";祖夢巖評曰:"但今日無髮更忙,君知之乎?"《觚賸續編》卷一"禪諷":"大汕常攢眉而言兩臺延召之頻,三司應酬之密,六時並無暇逸。吳蘭次曰:'汝於此間受諸苦惱,何不出了家?'"(《湧幢小品》卷十七:"一大貴人奉六齋,嫌味薄,怒捶廚人。乃以腥汁合作清淡素品和之,貴人甘甚,詫曰:'奉齋何不佳,而人乃嗜葷!'貴人之姪,余主其家。一日飯素,亦怒甚,嚇廚人,凡易十餘品皆不稱。余笑曰:'何不開齋?'"《香祖筆記》卷九即以此事與蘭次語大汕事連類。)《甌北詩鈔‧五古之一‧偶得十一首‧之六》:"山僧例趨勢,向我發嘆嗟,苦道酬應冗,身不脫袈裟。方參達官署,又迎貴客車。厨催香積飯,爐選頭綱茶。其詞若有憾,其意實自誇。一笑語山僧,毋乃路已差。爾既厭煩囂,何不出了家?"
